The Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce will map a direction for the future following release of an assessment that shows the city faces big hurdles.

Chamber president Henry Florsheim said a committee is working on a plan. It comes on the heels of the assessment performed by Broad Ripple Strategies consultants that revealed the city has serious challenges moving forward.

“I don’t think a lot of these things are surprises,” Florsheim said. “We have some serious issues to address with diversity, with our average incomes, with our job opportunities, with the size of our talent pool. It (the assessment) lays out who we are and how we got here.”
