The director reports to the CEO of the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, and will also work very closely with the Talent Partnership Action Team.  The director will partner with a diverse set of professionals and organizations to catalyze development of new initiatives for workforce development.

Major areas of responsibility include:

  • Serving as staff coordinator for all Partnership activities
  • Facilitating meetings and conversations among partners regarding creation of new programs
  • Leading the development and implementation of structured programs connecting the business community with military-related personnel including but not limited to trailing spouses, veterans, early separations and others
  • Leading the development and implementation of a structured program connecting interns from all levels of education to the business community
  • Leading the development and implementation of a mentoring program for young professionals
  • Leading the creation of an online portal for promoting initiatives and job opportunities
  • Serving as the public face of the initiative
  • Reporting to stakeholders on a regular basis regarding progress of program development
  • Developing metrics to measure success of initiatives
  • Managing budget for initiative
  • Eventually developing 501c3 status for Partnership

Job Requirements

  • College degree or related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • The ability to coordinate a group of diverse individuals with varying agendas
  • Intercultural competency
